• Evergrain by Epoch Composite Products, Inc. a Tamko company, is a lumber alternative made from recycled plastics and wood materials.  It's primarily post industrial polyethylene and sawdust, containing over 50% recycled material.

• It's highly resistant to moisture and comes in several colors including: Cape Cod Grey, Redwood, Cedar and Weathered Wood. 

Performance characteristics

• A splinter free material with the workability of wood.  It won't check, split or rot and can be routed, sanded, nailed, drilled and even turned on a lathe.

• Insect and termite resistant. 

• Traditional Railing System features compression molded 2x6 hand rail, 2x4 side rail and extruded square balusters. Wood posts can be wrapped with extruded skirting for a completed look.

• Handrail slides over pre-drilled retainer. Unique two-piece interlocking design provides sturdiness and hides fasteners.

Safety concerns

• Relatively few safety concerns. When working with Evergrain, use protective clothing, dust mask and eye protection.

• A non-biodegradable product, it should be disposed of properly. Do not burn composite products.

Life expectancy

• Comes with a limited ten-year warranty.

Maintenance

• Virtually maintenance free, no need to paint or stain.

• Periodic cleaning may be necessary to remove dirt and restore to original color.
